Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel with 4+ years working in support of US-based technology companies, adept at negotiating client-facing contracts. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a clear understanding of the business implications of their analytical work and have excellent communication skills to convey these implications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Negotiation and Drafting: Lead negotiations and draft client agreements ensuring compliance and favorable terms.
- Business Implications Analysis: Provide insightful analysis of legal issues with a focus on understanding and communicating the business implications to internal stakeholders.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Partners: Work extensively with partners outside of Legal, while maintaining a proactive approach to anticipate their needs and ensure high-quality output.
- Proactive Communication: Demonstrate proactive communication with direct business partners, while prioritizing competing needs.
- Efficiency and Responsiveness: Work efficiently and meet deadlines, ensuring that business partners are always supported and receive high-quality service.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a corporate counsel or transactional attorney in a technology-focused environment
- Proven track record of negotiating and drafting complex commercial contracts, with a focus on SaaS agreements and software licensing.
- Strong understanding of legal principles and regulations related to technology, intellectual property, data privacy, and contract law
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
